About the Print Excellence Awards Program
The annual GMA Print Excellence Awards recognize outstanding print professionals across Ohio, Michigan, and northern Kentucky through evaluations across 36 specialized categories. For the 2023 competition, GMA implemented a strengthened judging panel featuring:
- Greg Jovanovic of ColorArt (Eureka, MO), bringing 25+ years of print production expertise
- Returning judge Jeff Ekstein from Willow Printing Group (Ontario, Canada)
The judges evaluated submissions using professional-grade color control bars and loupes to identify technical excellence, with several categories requiring microscopic-level analysis to determine winners due to exceptionally close competition.
